Sendai Castle Ruins
(Equestrian statue of Date Masamune)
Date 620,000 koku residence, Sendai Castle (Aoba Castle). It is said that the castle, which was built on a natural fortress with an altitude of about 130m and steep cliffs to the east and south, did not build a castle tower on purpose to avoid being warned by Shogun Ieyasu. Unfortunately, the castle has now disappeared, and the stone walls and reconstructed side turrets remind us of the bygone days. If you stand in front of the statue of Lord Masamune on horseback, you can see the city from the same line of sight as Lord Masamune, who was burning with ambition to take over the world. You can overlook it.

Thank you for watching!
